Standing Together: Resources to Support Victims of the Southern California Fires

As fires raged through Southern California, devastating communities and displacing families, our hearts go out to those affected. Among the hardest hit is a historically Black community in Altadena—a vibrant place with deep roots in resilience and culture, founded during the Civil Rights Movement. This tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the strength we find in coming together.

We are committed to sharing resources that can make a real difference. Inspired by the compassionate message shared by BIPOC Podcast Creators, we want to amplify their call to action and invite you to stand in solidarity with those impacted.

If you’re looking for ways to support relief efforts, here are some incredible organizations working tirelessly on the ground to provide aid:

The Power of Collective Care

As Tangia Al-awaji Estrada, Co-founder of BIPOC Podcast Creators, poignantly wrote, “No story is more important than the one we create together through collective care and action.” In times of crisis, we are reminded of the importance of leaning into our humanity and supporting one another.

By contributing to these organizations or simply checking in on your friends, family, and neighbors, we can create hope amidst the devastation. Every act of care matters.
